1938‐ A Russian stage designer. After graduating from the Fine Arts Department of Moscow Film University, he became the exclusive artist for the Bolshoi Theatre in 1965, mainly working on stage art for operas. However, he also does a lot of work for drama theatres, and his deep understanding of plays and unique artistic expression fascinate directors. When AV Efros came to Japan in 1981 and performed The Cherry Orchard with the Tokyo Theatre Ensemble, he accompanied him and was in charge of the stage art.
