Ruijukarin - Ruijukarin

A collection of poems compiled by Yamanoue no Okura. It seems to have been passed down until the end of the Heian period (such as in "Yakumo Misho"), but currently only nine fragmentary passages cited in the "Manyoshu" as reference material on the author and the circumstances of poem composition remain, so the full story is unknown. It was probably compiled some time after 721 (Yoro 5), when Okura became a tutor to the Crown Prince (later Emperor Shomu). The number of volumes is unknown. If this book is the "Seven Volumes of Poetry Lin" (Shosoin documents), it would be seven volumes. It is classified according to some criteria, and the circumstances of poem composition are examined using documents such as the "Nihon Shoki", "Fudoki" and others. As far as the "Manyoshu" is concerned, the collected poems are those of the Emperor and Imperial family, those related to the Imperial Court such as those for accompanying the Emperor on a journey, and the names of the authors are also listed as official names. Therefore, there is a theory that it was a book presented to the Crown Prince.

山上憶良(やまのうえのおくら)編の歌集。平安時代末ごろまでは伝わっていたようだが（『八雲御抄(やくもみしょう)』など）、現在は『万葉集』に作者や作歌事情に関する参考資料として引用されている断片的な文章が九か所に残っているのみなので、全容は不明。成立は、憶良が皇太子（後の聖武(しょうむ)天皇）の侍講者となった721年（養老5）以後数年の間か。巻数不明。「歌林七巻」（正倉院文書）が本書なら七巻となる。なんらかの基準による分類が施され『日本書紀』『風土記(ふどき)』その他の文献を使って作歌事情を考証している。収録歌は『万葉集』でみる限りでは天皇・皇族の歌や行幸従駕(ぎょうこうじゅうが)歌などの宮廷関係歌、作者名も公的作者名を記す。そこで皇太子献上用の書とする説もある。
