Jamuna

…The western end of the Garo Hills is part of Bangladesh, and flows south for about 240 km through the low-lying alluvial plains, joining the Ganga at Goalund to form the Padma. From its confluence with the Tista to Goalund, it is called the Jamuna. The flow rate of the Brahmaputra is 1.37 million cubic meters per second in July during the rainy season, and 120,000 cubic meters per second in January during the dry season. It is navigable from its mouth to Dibrugarh (Assam), 1,300 km upstream, making it an important route for transporting goods.
