The fifth king of the Sukhothai dynasty of Thailand (reigned 1347-74?). Grandson of King Ramakhamhaeng the Great. He had been in Satchanalai as viceroy since 1340, but in 1347 he returned to Sukhothai leading an army, recaptured the throne from a usurper, restored order, and became king himself, becoming the founder of the revival of the Sukhothai dynasty. When Ayutthaya was founded in the south in 1350, he worked to establish relations with it. In addition to being a warrior, he is famous in the history of Thai literature as the author of Trai Phum (The Sutra of the Three Realms). Written in 1345 when he was viceroy, the book is an enlightening Buddhist work in Thai for laypeople, and shows strong influences from Sri Lankan Buddhism.

タイのスコータイ朝第5代の王(在位1347‐74？)。ラーマカムヘン大王の孫。1340年以来副王としてサッチャナーライにあったが，47年軍を率いてスコータイに戻り，奪われていた王位を簒奪者から奪還して秩序を回復，みずから王位につきスコータイ朝中興の祖となった。50年南方にアユタヤが興ると，これとの修交に努めている。武人としてのほか彼の名はタイ文学史上《トライプーム(三界経)》の著者として名高い。同書は彼が副王であった1345年に著した在家者向きのタイ語の啓蒙的仏教書で，スリランカ仏教の強い影響が認められる。
