Japanese: ラリン･キュオスティ（英語表記）Larin‐Kyösti

1873‐1948
Finnish poet. His real name was Kaarlo Kyösti Larson. He was familiar with the nature and life of a farming and fishing village, and was influenced by Swedish poets Berman and Froding. He made his debut in the literary world with his romantic folk-style lyric poem, "The Boy's Song of Spring Joy" (1897). He later moved to mystical epic poems in the style of Finnish poet Leino, and left behind nearly 50 collections of poems, including his representative works, "Visions of the Wilderness" (2 volumes, 1915-17) and "Ballads" (1913). He also wrote novels, plays, and translations.

フィンランドの詩人。本名ラルソンKaarlo Kyösti Larson。農漁村の自然と生活に親しみ，スウェーデンの詩人ベルマンやフレーディングの影響を受け，ロマンティックな民謡調の抒情詩《この少年の春の喜びの歌声》(1897)で文壇に登場する。のち，フィンランドの詩人レイノ風の神秘的な叙事詩に移り，《荒野の幻影》2巻(1915‐17)，《バラード》(1913)の代表作の他，50に近い詩集を残し，小説，戯曲，翻訳も手がけた。
