1873‐1948 Finnish poet. His real name was Kaarlo Kyösti Larson. He was familiar with the nature and life of a farming and fishing village, and was influenced by Swedish poets Berman and Froding. He made his debut in the literary world with his romantic folk-style lyric poem, "The Boy's Song of Spring Joy" (1897). He later moved to mystical epic poems in the style of Finnish poet Leino, and left behind nearly 50 collections of poems, including his representative works, "Visions of the Wilderness" (2 volumes, 1915-17) and "Ballads" (1913).
