A Confucian scholar of the late Edo period. His given name was Tadanago, his pen name was Senki, he was commonly known as Manshiro, and his pen name was Kyohei. He was from Aki (Hiroshima Prefecture). He was the younger brother of Shunsui. He was invited by Shunsui to study in Osaka, and then followed Shunsui to Edo, where he studied under Hattori Rissai (1736-1800). Like Shunsui, he became a Confucian scholar in the Hiroshima domain, and worked to promote the Neo-Confucian school, while also putting his efforts into the education of his nephew, Sanyo. He later became a magistrate and devoted himself to civil administration, achieving great success. His works include "Genkohen" (1790) and "Shunsoudo Shisho" (1833).
