1348-1402 (Shohei 3, Sadawa 4-Oei 9) He was a nobleman and Shintoist during the Nanboku-cho period. He was a deputy head of Shinto Shrine, a chamberlain, and a third-ranked official. His father, Urabe Kanetoyo, inherited the hereditary position of shrine official at Yoshida Shrine, but in 1375 (Tenju 1, Eiwa 1), he changed his family name from Urabe no Sukune to Urabe no Ason, and in 1386 (Genchu 3, Shitoku 3), he was promoted to the third rank, becoming the first noble to surpass the ranks of his ancestors, thus raising the status of his family and building the foundation of the Shinto Yoshida clan.
