Scaled carp - Scaled carp

...Mirror carp has several to a dozen large scales on the lateral line and at the base of each fin. In Germany, carp with normal scales are called Schuppen Karpfen (scaled carp) to distinguish them from the others. German carp was first imported to Japan in 1905, and was also cultivated in Japan for a time.
