Drugs that do not fall into the above categories include procarbazine (Naturan), cisplatin (Randa or Briplatin), L-asparaginase (Leunase), and estramustine (Estracyt), which are used to treat malignant lymphoma, various solid cancers, leukemia, and prostate cancer, respectively. Of these, cisplatin is a platinum complex compound that was discovered in the United States in the late 1960s and was recently introduced to Japan.
