Hydrogen iodide (hydrogen iodide)

Japanese: ヨウ化水素(沃化水素) - ようかすいそ(英語表記)hydrogen iodide
Hydrogen iodide (hydrogen iodide)
Chemical formula: HI. A colorless, irritating, fuming gas; its liquid form is pale yellow. Its melting point is -50.8°C, boiling point is -35.1°C, and critical temperature is 150.8°C. The density of the gas is 5.66g/cm3 (0°C, 1 atm), which is 4.77 times that of air. The density of the liquid is 2.799g/cm3 (-35.4°C). The H-I bond distance of the HI molecule in the gas form is 1.609Å. The dipole moment is 0.38D (D is the abbreviation for the unit of dipole moment, Debye, 1D = 3.336× 10-30 C・m), and the ionicity of the H-I bond is 5%.
