A term used in paleography. Generally, documents issued by nobles and written by retainers on their behalf are called yuhitsusho. Yuhitsu is also written as yuhitsu or yuhitsu, meaning to assist the writer, and its job was to draft and transcribe documents issued by nobles. Yuhitsusho can be interpreted in two ways, broadly and narrowly, and in the broad sense it can include so-called hosho, which are issued by the yuhitsu bugyo under his own name. Examples of yuhitsusho include imperial edicts, imperial orders, and imperial instructions for courtiers, and hosho for samurai documents issued by the magistrates of the Muromachi shogunate.
