Japanese: 結城戦場物語 - ゆうきせんじょうものがたり

A war chronicle depicting the outcome of the Battle of Yuki in 1440-41 (Eikyō 12-Kakitsu 1). One volume. Also known as the Tale of the Yuki Army. The author and date of its creation are unknown, but it is based on the Yuki Senjō-ki, created in the late 1440s, and the Yuki Senjō Bekki, created in 1450 (Hōtoku 2). The story places considerable emphasis on the final days of Ashikaga Mochiuji's surviving children, King Yasu and King Shun, after the fall of Yuki Castle, and shows the influence of Jishu Buddhist thought. 1440‐41年(永享12‐嘉吉1)の結城合戦の顚末を描いた戦記物語。1巻。異称は《結城軍物語》。著者，成立年代ともに不詳だが，1440年代後半成立の《結城戦場記》や1450年(宝徳2)成立の《結城戦場別記》をもとにまとめられたもので，結城落城後の足利持氏遺児〈安王〉･〈春王〉の最期にかなりの重点を置いて叙述されているなど，時宗系の仏教思想の影響が認められる。《群書類従》所収。【市村高男】
