Yelu Daseki - The Great Stone

He was the first emperor of the Kara-Khitai (Western Liao) in Central Asia (reigned 1132-43). His pen name was Chongde and his temple name was Dezong. He was the 8th generation descendant of the Liao's Taizu Yelu Aboji. When the Liao was attacked by the Jin in 1124, he fled north to the Outer Mongolian Plateau, and then westward, ascending to the throne at Belasagun on the Chu River in 1132, and established the Yanqing era. He called himself Gul Khan and called himself Emperor Tenyu. In 1141, he defeated the Islamic coalition led by the Seljuk Sultan Sanjar near Samarkand, and established Kara-Khitai's control over Transoxiana. He later subjugated the Khwarizm Shah Dynasty.

中央アジア、カラ・キタイ（西遼(せいりょう)）の初代皇帝（在位1132～43）。字(あざな)は重徳、廟号(びょうごう)は徳宗。遼の太祖耶律阿保機(あぼき)の8世の子孫。1124年遼が金(きん)の攻撃を受けると、外モンゴル高原に北走し、のち西進して32年にチュー河畔のベラサグンで即位、延慶と建元し、グル・ハンと称し、天祐(てんゆう)皇帝と号した。41年セルジューク朝のスルタン、サンジャルの率いるイスラム連合軍をサマルカンド近辺で破り、トランスオクシアナに対するカラ・キタイの支配権を確立。のちホラズム（フワーリズム）・シャー朝を服属させた。
