A Kana-zoshi from the early Edo period. Two volumes. The author and publication date are unknown, but it is believed to have been written after 1609. It was so popular that several versions were published in the early Edo period, including old movable type and Kan'ei print versions. It depicts the tragic love story between Kuzuno Umanosuke and Yukinomae. It is thought to be a work by an aristocrat in the style of Otogi-zoshi. A precursor of Kana-zoshi. 江戸初期の仮名草子。２巻。作者，刊年不詳だが，1609年以後成立とされる。古活字本，寛永整版本をはじめ，江戸初期に数種の刊本が出るほど人気があった。葛(くず)の恨の介と雪の前との悲恋を描いたもの。御伽(おとぎ)草子の流れをくむ貴族の作品と思われる。仮名草子の先駆。
