〘Noun〙① Staff of the Kurodo-dokoro ( Kurodo- dokoro). In March 810, the fifth year of the Daido era, they were established as extra- legal posts along with the Kurodo no To (Kurodo no Kami) . Later, the number of staff was increased to eight. In November 888 , the fourth year of the Ninna era, their ranks and duties were linked, and they were divided into two of fifth rank and six of sixth rank. They were not allowed to be promoted to rank but keep their official position, and were called "Kurodo no Goi" and "Kurodo no Rokui" respectively. Those who were allowed to enter the palace at sixth rank but did not become Kurodo were called " Hikurodo". Following this example, Kurodo were also established in the Imperial Palace and the Sekkanke (regent families) . In the Edo period, those who were summoned from shrine families such as Kamo and Inari to serve in miscellaneous duties at the Imperial Court were also called Kurodo, but their nature was different. Their Chinese names were Shichu. Kurando. Kuranin. Kurahito. ※Kyureki - Kyureki Sho, 23rd January, 1st year of Tenryaku (947) "The attire for the Imperial banquet, visit to the Imperial Palace, and the Imperial Court is quite different from the previous six years, and as such , the order to procure the courtiers has been revised ." ② A female court attendant second only to the Lady of the Palace. She handles miscellaneous tasks. Nyokurodo . ※Utsubo (c. 970-999) Fukiage no Kami "There was a good daughter, so she was served by a courtier." ③ In the Nara and Heian periods, a person in charge of managing the storehouses in the various offices of the Imperial Palace. A kurado. ※ Azuma Documents - 25th February, 896, 8th year of Kanpei (896), Yamashiro Province Yamada Gocho-kai "Yamada Gocho-kai reports the sale and purchase of peasant land certificates, documents, omission, guarantee of swords, omission, kurado of the Uchinoue-ryo, subordinate to the seventh rank, Hata no Kimisumi Sadayo."

〘名〙① 蔵人所(くろうどどころ)の職員。大同五年(八一〇)三月、蔵人の頭(とう)とともに令外(りょうげ)の官として設けられた。のち定員八名。仁和四年(八八八)一一月、位階と職掌を連結させて五位のもの二名、六位のもの六名に分け、叙留(位だけ上げ官職をそのままにしておくこと)を認めず、それぞれ「五位の蔵人」「六位の蔵人」と称する。また六位で昇殿を許されて蔵人にならない者を「非蔵人(ひくろうど)」とよぶ。院の御所、摂関家にもこれにならって蔵人を設置した。なお江戸時代、賀茂、稲荷などの社家より召し出されて、宮中の雑役に奉仕したものも蔵人とよぶが、性質を異にする。唐名は侍中。くらんど。くらにん。くらひと。※九暦‐九暦抄・天暦元年(947)正月二三日「内宴、参内、殿上装束頗違去六年例、仍示蔵人改」② 宮中で命婦(みょうぶ)に次ぐ地位の女官。雑事をつとめる。女蔵人(にょくろうど)。※宇津保(970‐999頃)吹上上「よきむすめ一人ありければ、内のくら人つかうまつりけるが」③ 奈良・平安時代、宮中の諸寮司において、蔵(くら)の管理をする者。倉人。※東文書‐寛平八年(896)二月二五日・山城国山田郷長解「山田郷長解 申売買百姓家地立券文事〈略〉保証刀禰〈略〉内蔵寮蔵人従七位下秦忌寸貞世」
