Born: March 14, 1901, Tokyo
[Died] October 22, 1972. Tokyo Rakugo performer and comedian. Real name Yamashita Keitaro. He began performing on stage at the age of six, as a disciple of San'yutei Kinma III along with his father Kinkatsu. After serving as Kokinma and Kinsan, he served a year and a half in the military in Korea. After being discharged from the military, he became famous for his rakugo story "Soldier," which was based on his experiences, and subsequent soldier-themed plays, as well as storytelling on radio and records. In 1939, he founded the Kin'goro Theater Company, and was active in films, stage, and television. He maintained a long-lasting popularity as a comedic TV personality even after World War II. In 1968, he became the second president of the Comedians Association. He wrote over 600 new rakugo stories under the pen name of Arisaki Tsutomu.

落語家，喜劇人。本名山下敬太郎。父の金勝とともに3世三遊亭金馬の門下で，6歳から高座に上った。小金馬，金三を経て，朝鮮で1年半の軍隊生活をおくった。除隊後その体験を落語化した『兵隊』とそれに続く兵隊物の劇や，ラジオ・レコードの語りで一躍有名になった。 1939年金語楼劇団をつくり，映画，舞台，放送に活躍。第2次世界大戦後もテレビの喜劇タレントとして息の長い人気を保った。 68年喜劇人協会の2代目会長。有崎勉のペンネームで 600本に上る新作落語を書いた。
