A manor in Jōjō-gun, Yamato Province (present-day Tenri City, Nara Prefecture). It is also called Yagimoto-no-sho. The first historical reference to Yanagimoto-sho was in the 1000 (Choho 2) Todaiji Heishō. Of the 12 manors that the Daijōin family originally owned, this was the largest, spanning the 15th, 16th, and 17th districts of Jōjō-gun. According to the 1770 (Enkyū 2) register of miscellaneous duties and exemptions from the Kofuku-ji Yamato Province miscellaneous duties and exemptions, in the mid-Heian period it was divided into Yōjō-no-hoku and Yōjō-no-minami manors, which were intertwined and scattered with provincial government territories and other territories. In the Kamakura period, according to the Sangakinkeshō, in addition to the northern and southern manors, Okita-sho appears, with a total of over 101 cho of fields.
