Marino Moretti

Italian poet and novelist. Born in Romagna. At a young age, he joined the group of "Twilight" poets, and published works such as "Poems in Pencil" (1910) and "Daily Poems" (1911). His novels mainly depict the lives of ordinary people in the Romagna region with a simple and lyrical brush. He wrote over 10 long volumes, including "The Voice of God" (1910), "The Pure at Heart" (1922), and "The Throne of the Poor" (1928), as well as many short stories. After World War II, he returned to poetry, and published collections such as "The Last Summer" (1968) and "Three Years and a Day" (1971).

イタリアの詩人、小説家。ロマーニャに生まれる。若くして「黄昏(たそがれ)派」詩人のグループに加わり、『鉛筆で書いた詩』（1910）、『毎日の詩』（1911）などを発表。小説はおもにロマーニャ地方の庶民生活を平明で叙情的な筆で描く。『神の声』（1910）、『心清き人々』（1922）、『貧者の王座』（1928）など10巻余の長編と多くの短編がある。第二次世界大戦後はふたたび詩作に帰り、『最後の夏』（1968）、『三年と一日』（1971）などの詩集がある。
