A feudal lord in the early modern period. Said to be descended from Minamoto Yoshitaka, the sixth son of Seiwa Genji Minamoto no Yoshiie and resident of Morisho in Sagami Province, the 15th generation Yoshiyuki lived in Rendai, Haguri County, Minamoto Province, and his son Yoshinari served under Oda Nobunaga. Of Yoshinari's sons, Ranmaru was killed in the Honnoji Incident, and Nagayoshi joined the Hashiba side and was killed in battle at the Battle of Komaki and Nagakute. Tadamasa was granted a fief of 137,000 koku in Kawanakajima, Shinano Province in 1600 (Keicho 5), and after the Battle of Sekigahara, he was given 186,000 koku in Tsuyama, Mimasaka Province by the Tokugawa clan. The family was abolished in 1697 (Genroku 10), but Nagatsugu returned to the position and maintained the family, and later the fief of Ako, Harima Province, was granted 20,000 koku.
