Kinokawa is an old town in the Naka district in northern Wakayama Prefecture. Its central market, located near the confluence of the Kinokawa River and its tributary, the Kishigawa River, is an old market town along the Koya Highway, and was once part of Mount Koya's territory. It is known as a peach-producing region, and is also a thriving producer of plant trees. It is home to Mifune Shrine. In November 2005, it was incorporated as a city by merging with the towns of Uchida, Konagawa, Naka, and Kishigawa in the Naka district, to form Kinokawa City. Area: 51.75 ^km2 . Population: 8,227 (2003).

和歌山県北部，那賀(なが)郡の旧町。紀ノ川と支流貴志川との合流点付近にある中心の市場(いちば)は高野街道沿いの古くからの市場町で，かつては高野山領であった。モモの産地として知られ，植木生産も盛ん。三船神社がある。2005年11月，那賀郡打田町，粉河町，那賀町，貴志川町と合併し市制，紀の川市となる。51.75km²。8227人（2003）。
