Motoyama [town] - Motoyama
A town in Nagaoka County in northern Kochi Prefecture. Occupying the mountainous region upstream of the Yoshino River, the main settlement, which is the centre of the Reihoku region, is on the south bank. In addition to rice, the town produces timber, vegetables, tea and flowering trees. There are many protected cypress forests on Mt. Shiraga. The site of Nonaka Kaneyama's mansion is now Uemachi Park. Sameura Dam is located at the western end. 134.22 km2 . 4,103 people (2010).
