Mojiriori - Mojiriori

Japanese:
Mojiriori - Mojiriori
Also called karamiori. In normal textiles, the warp threads are generally perpendicular to the weft threads, but in this type of textile, the warp threads are intertwined with other warp threads, creating transparent gaps on the surface of the textile. In other words, by using a special device called a furuesokou, the karamidate threads are woven while turning to the left and right of the other threads, the jidate threads. This type of textile includes ramie, gauze, silk, and komeori. It is highly valued as a thin, lace-like fabric, and is used in various patterned textiles and dyeing.
