A series with an infinite number of terms. Generally expressed as _a1 + _a2 + _a3 + ... or (Equation 1). When the sequence _S1 , _S2 , _S3 , ... created by the partial sum (Equation 2) converges, the infinite series is said to converge, and the limit value (Equation 3) is called the sum. When the sequence S(/n) does not converge, it is said to diverge.
