A geography book of Harima Province during the Kamakura and Nanboku-cho periods. It can also be read as "Houso-ki" or "Busho-ki." The author is unknown, but it was written in the form of a traveling monk who visited Keisoku-ji Temple in Hosozan, Harima Province (present-day Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture) in 1348 and recorded what he heard from monks at the temple. It is a valuable historical material for understanding society during the Kamakura and Nanboku-cho periods. It is particularly famous for its description of the villains of Harima Province, who are described as wearing persimmon-colored katabira (robe), hats, masks, and unique weapons such as pebbles, and who acted freely. The oldest copy, copied in 1511, remains at Ikaruga Temple in Taishi Town, Hyogo Prefecture. → Related topics Fukupaku Source : Heibonsha Encyclopedia About MyPedia Information |
