Japanese: 田主丸[町] - たぬしまる

A former town in Ukiha County in southern Fukuoka Prefecture. The main settlement on the left bank of the midstream Chikugo River has been a regional center since early modern times along the Hita Kaido (National Route 210), and is served by the Kyudai Main Line. The northern slope of the Minou Mountains produces azalea, mandarin orange, cedar and other seedlings, as well as Fuyu persimmons and grapes. The Chikugo River basin is a rice paddy region. In February 2005, it was incorporated into Kurume City along with Kitano Town in Mii County, and Jojima Town and Mizuma Town in Mizuma County. ^{50.99 km2} , 21,384 people (2003).

福岡県南部，浮羽(うきは)郡の旧町。筑後川中流左岸の主集落は日田街道（国道210号線）に沿う近世以来の地方中心で，久大本線が通じる。耳納(みのう)山地北斜面はツツジ，ミカン，スギなどの苗木，富有柿，ブドウを産する。筑後川流域は水田地帯。2005年２月三井郡北野町，三潴郡城島町，三潴町と久留米市へ編入。50.99km²，２万1384人（2003）。
