Matricaria (English spelling) Chrysanthemum parthenium (Matricaria parthenium); feverfew
Japanese name: Feverfew. A perennial plant of the Asteraceae family, native to Western Asia and the Balkan Peninsula. It was once classified as a member of the Matricaria genus, and is therefore commonly sold as cut flowers and potted plants under the name Matricaria. Plant height: 30-80cm. It branches well and grows in a bushy shape. It produces flower heads measuring several tens of millimeters in diameter at the top of the stem, and is very prolific. The central flowers are yellow, while the marginal flowers are white. The leaves are deeply pinnately lobed. Horticultural varieties include those that produce yellow ball-shaped flower heads with only developed tubular flowers, and white-flowered varieties with only ray flowers. In horticulture, it is often treated as an annual plant. Seeds are sown in autumn, and the plant should be grown in a well-drained, sunny environment. Excessive moisture can cause root rot.
