A town in Ashigarakami County in western Kanagawa Prefecture. It occupies the left bank of the midstream Sakawa River. The main settlement is a former post town on the Yagurasawa Highway (National Route 246), and is home to Matsuda Station on the Gotemba Line and Shin-Matsuda Station on the Odakyu Odawara Line.
