〘Noun〙① Esophagus. ※Shizuno Iwaya Kohon (1811), Vol. 2 "It is called the gastric tube or esophagus because it is the path through which food and drink are received and delivered to the stomach."② A type of rubber tube for medical use. It is inserted into the stomach through the mouth and esophagus and is used for cleaning, nutrition, etc.
