A town in Shimoina District in southern Nagano Prefecture. The Ina Mountains are to the east and the Kiso Mountains to the west. The main settlement, Moto-Oshima, is located in the Ina Basin in the center, and the Iida Line and Chuo Expressway pass through the town. Fruit cultivation, including pears and apples, is thriving.
