[1] A commentary on the Lotus Sutra from the Sui period in China. Twelve volumes. Written by Jizo of the Sui dynasty. Written from the perspective of the Sanron theory. [2] One of the Sankyo Gishu (Comments on the Three Sutras). Four volumes. It was thought to have been written by Prince Shotoku, but in recent years this theory has been cast into doubt. It is a commentary on the 28 chapters of the Lotus Sutra translated by Kumarajiva, based on the Hokke Giji (Hokke-giji) by Fayun of Liang, and is said to have shaped the development of Japanese Buddhism through its original interpretations in many places.
