Japanese: 暴力行為等処罰法 - ぼうりょくこういとうしょばつほう

This law (1926) aims to severely punish violent acts by groups and habitual violent acts. It was enacted to supplement the Penal Code. It stipulates that those who commit collective assault, intimidation, or damage to property are sentenced to imprisonment of up to three years or a fine of up to 300,000 yen, those who injure others with firearms or swords are sentenced to imprisonment of one to 15 years (10 years before the 2004 amendment), those who commit habitual acts of injury, assault, intimidation, or damage to property are sentenced to increased penalties, those who demand a meeting or threaten with coercion or talk with the intent of obtaining illegal financial gain are sentenced to imprisonment of up to one year or a fine of up to 100,000 yen, and those who provide financial gain with the intent of causing collective murder, injury, or damage to property are sentenced to imprisonment of up to six months or a fine of up to 100,000 yen. Its application is often problematic in relation to labor movements, etc.

集団による暴力行為，常習的暴力行為等を重く処罰しようとする法律（1926年）。刑法を補うために制定。集団的暴行・脅迫・器物損壊をなした者は３年以下の懲役または30万円以下の罰金，銃砲・刀剣類を用いて人を傷害した者は１年以上15年（2004年改正前は10年）以下の懲役，常習として傷害・暴行・脅迫・器物損壊をなした者の刑の加重，財産上の不法利益を得る目的で面会強請・強談威迫をなした者は１年以下の懲役または10万円以下の罰金，集団的に殺人・傷害・器物損壊等を犯させる目的で財産上の利益を供与した者等は６月以下の懲役または10万円以下の罰金等を規定。労働運動等に関連してその適用がしばしば問題とされる。
