Peshwa (English spelling)
Peshwa is a Persian word meaning leader or leader. In Indian history, the chief minister of the Maratha Empire, founded by Shivaji, was famously called the Peshwa. For about a century from the beginning of the 18th century, the Maratha Peshwa held virtually all political power, and the position was hereditary.
