A representative example of a sacred number in the West, it is 12,960,000. It is mentioned in Book 8 of Plato's Republic, and the following interpretation, represented by J. Adam, is the most popular: 12,960,000 = 216 x 60,000, where 216 is said to represent the shortest number of days a human can remain in the womb. 216 can be rewritten as 3 ³ + ^{4 3} + 5 ³ , 6 ³ , or 35 x 6 + 6, which also show that 216 is the sum of the cubes of 3, 4, and 5, numbers that have been respected since the Pythagorean school as numbers representing the elements of the universe, the cube of the marriage number 6 (3 men x 2 women), and the sum of 6 times the harmonic number 35 (6 + 8 + 9 + 12) and the marriage number 6.
