Japanese: 譜代 - ふだい

It is also written as Fudai. It is said to be one of the seven virtues, as it is the succession of the family lineage for generations, and it means a family lineage, a lineage, a genealogy, or a person who serves a master for generations. Especially in the Edo period, the shogunate called the daimyo who served the Tokugawa clan by hereditary means Fudai Daimyo, and in rural areas, the servants who were hereditary vassals to the master were called Fudai Genin.
