Born in 1603. Became a disciple of Honinbo Dosaku. In 1606, he was adopted into the Inoue family, and in 1617, he took the name Inoue Inseki IV. He served as the guardian of Honinbo Dochi. In 1607, he became a Meijin, and in 1619, he became a Go master. In later generations, he was known as Meijin Inseki. He passed away on December 7, 1618. He was 74 years old.
