Fujiwara no Toshitada

Fujiwara no Toshitada
1073-1123 A nobleman and poet of the late Heian period.
Born in the 5th year of Enkyu. The second son of Fujiwara Tadaie. His mother was the daughter of Fujiwara Tsunesuke (one theory says Fujiwara Atsuie). He was ranked Junior Third Rank, Gon Chunagon and Dazai Gon no Sochi, and was known as Nijo no Sochi. He was a poet of the Mikohidari family, and the father of Fujiwara Shunzei. 29 of his poems are included in imperial anthologies. He died on July 9, 4th year of Hoan. He was 51 years old. His family anthology is the "Shunchushu".

延久5年生まれ。藤原忠家の次男。母は藤原経輔(一説に藤原敦家(あついえ))の娘。従三位,権(ごんの)中納言兼大宰権帥(だざいのごんのそち)となり,二条帥とよばれる。御子左(みこひだり)家の歌人で,藤原俊成の父。勅撰集に29首がはいっている。保安(ほうあん)4年7月9日死去。51歳。家集に「俊忠集」。
