It flourished in China around the 10th century BC, between the Yin and Zhou cultures and the Han culture, and was distributed from the Liaodong Peninsula to the vicinity of Indochina. The carvings on the plate surface, which was hammered to harden the vessel wall, include mountain patterns, square patterns, and spiral patterns.
