Criticism newspaper - Hyoron Shinbun

A government-critical magazine published in March 1875 (Meiji 8) by Shushisha, presided over by Ebihara Boku (1830-1901). It was published 5 to 15 times a month. It supported the theory of the Conquest of Korea, advocated civil rights, and opposed the Choshu faction, and was full of radical criticism such as "Kill the Minister" (No. 2), "The Theory that the Oppressive Government Should Be Overthrown" (No. 62), and "The Story of Begging Councillor Ito for a Sign of His Head by Mail" (No. 99). As a result, reporters were imprisoned and fined one after another, and publication was banned on July 10, 1876, and it ceased publication with the 109th issue. A magazine of the same name was launched in January 1873, but ceased publication after the second issue.

1875年（明治8）3月、海老原穆(えびはらぼく)（1830―1901）主宰の集思社から発行された政府批判雑誌。月5～15回刊。征韓(せいかん)論を支持し、民権論を主張、長州閥に反対する論旨で「大臣ヲ斬殺(ざんさつ)セヨ」（2号）、「圧制政府顛覆(てんぷく)スベキノ論」（62号）、「伊藤参議ニ郵便ヲ以(もっ)テ御首(みしるし)ヲ懇望シタル話」（99号）など過激な批判を満載したので、記者の禁獄、罰金相次ぎ、76年7月10日発行を禁止され、第109号で廃刊した。1873年1月、同名の雑誌が創刊されているが2号で廃刊している。
