A former town in Oda County, southwest of Okayama Prefecture. It is a town on the Kibi Plateau, centered on the Miyama Basin, and the main settlement is Miyama. Tobacco leaves, rice, and vegetables are cultivated, and dairy cows are raised. In March 2005, it was incorporated into Yoshii Town, Otsuki County, and Ibara City. 72.70 km2 . 5,735 people (2003).
