Born: 1870. Genoa [Died] 1955. French idealist philosopher from Paris. He was the editor of the Journal of Metaphysics and Morals from 1938 onwards, and became a member of the Académie Française in 1945. His main work was La Conduite humaine et les valeurs idéales (1939), or Human Action and Ideal Values.
