A god who appears in the Kojiki. He made a bet with his older brother Akiyamanoshitabiotoko about whether he would be successful in courting the beautiful deity Izushiotome-no-kami of Izushi, Tajima (Hyogo Prefecture). When his mother heard the bet, she made him clothes and a bow out of wisteria vines, which turned into wisteria flowers, and he was successful.
