A record that briefly describes the revival of the head branch of the Akamatsu clan, which was discontinued due to the Kakitsu Rebellion (1441). Both the author and the date of its creation are unknown. It was begun after an attempt to revive the head branch of the Akamatsu clan, made in 1454 (Kyōtoku 3), failed the following year. It describes how in 1458 (Choroku 2), a member of the family, Masanori, succeeded the head branch of the family thanks to the achievements of his former retainers, and goes on to give a detailed account of the conflicts within the domain as the Sengoku period began, the battle between Hosokawa Takakuni and Harumoto, and the achievements of Akamatsu Masamura. It records the events up until 1539 (Tenbun 8), when Masamura was given the first part of the name of the shogun, Ashikaga Yoshiharu, and changed his name to Harumasa.
