Born: April 5, 1885 in Tokyo [Died] December 23, 1974. Tokyo Oriental archaeologist. He served as professor at the University of Tokyo and inspector at the Imperial Museum. He was one of the pioneers of Oriental archaeology in Japan, and conducted several surveys on the continent, providing a great deal of important material. His works, including "Clothing in the Tang Dynasty of China" (1934) and "Clothing in the Six Dynasties of the Han Dynasty" (37), as well as reports on "Le Lang," "Maoyangcheng," and "Tokyo Castle," are the foundations of Oriental archaeology, and his contributions to archaeology are immense.
