Bathsheba

She was the mother of Solomon, who lived around the 10th century BCE. She was the beautiful wife of Uriah, a Hittite soldier, but she committed adultery with David and gave birth to Solomon. Her husband was sent to the front lines of the war against the Philistines and died there. After David's death, it was thanks to her that Solomon was able to ascend to the throne after a struggle for succession (Book of Samuel, chapters 11 and 12; 1 Kings, chapters 1 and 2). 前 10世紀頃在世したソロモンの母。ヘテ人の軍人ウリヤの美貌の妻であったが，ダビデと姦通し，ソロモンを産んだ。夫は対ペリシテ戦の最前線に送られて死んだ。ダビデの死後の王位継承の抗争を経て，ソロモンが王位につくことができたのは彼女のおかげであった (サムエル書 11，12章，列王紀上1，2章) 。
