Iridosmine - Iridosmine (English spelling)

Osmium is a mineral that occurs in basic plutonic or ultrabasic rocks, or in placers derived from these rocks. It has been treated as an independent species as an alloy mineral of the platinum group elements, but is now treated as iridium-bearing native osmium, and this name is a variant. Native osmium is a platinum group element mineral that belongs to the hexagonal crystal system, and when it is an alloy, the amount of osmium in the largest atomic ratio is applied to that which is present.

塩基性深成岩あるいは超塩基性岩中、あるいはこれらから導かれた砂鉱中に産する鉱物。白金族元素の合金鉱物として独立種の扱いを受けてきたが、現在は含イリジウム自然オスミウムとして取り扱われており、この名称は変種名となっている。自然オスミウムは六方晶系に属する白金族元素鉱物で、合金を構成している場合、オスミウムの量が原子比にしてもっとも多いものについて適用されている。
