Pazyryk

A group of burial mounds located about 600 km southeast of Novosibirsk in Western Siberia, Russia, is the standard site of the Pazyryk period of the Altaic culture. It is generally called the Pazyryk Tombs. It is thought to have been formed over a period of about 100 years between the 5th and 2nd centuries BCE. An Akinakes-type dagger, wood carvings and textiles with animal designs have been excavated from a luxurious tomb with a double wooden coffin and a horse buried with it. The remains were also well preserved due to being frozen. Many imported goods from various regions such as China and Iran were also discovered, providing important materials for cultural exchange between the East and the West.

ロシア，西シベリアのノボシビルスク南東約600kmにある墳墓群で，アルタイ文化パジリク期の標準遺跡。一般に〈パジリク古墳群〉と呼ばれる。前５世紀―前２世紀の間の約100年間に形成されたと考えられる。二重の木槨(もっかく)をもち，馬を陪葬した豪華な墳墓から，アキナケス型の短剣，動物意匠のある木彫や織物などが出土。遺体も凍結のため保存状態が良好であった。中国やイランなど諸地域からの輸入品も多く発見され，東西文化交流の重要な資料を提供した。
