Dodonaea viscosa (L.) Jacq.
It is an evergreen shrub of the Sapindaceae family that grows to a height of 3-6m and is widely distributed in tropical and subtropical regions around the world, often growing on coasts, wastelands, and dry ridges. It also grows wild in the Ryukyu and Ogasawara islands of Japan. The branches are slightly angular. Young branches and leaves are densely covered with glandular dots and have sticky surfaces. The leaves are almost stalkless, narrowly lanceolate to elliptic-lanceolate, 4-15cm long and 0.5-3cm wide, entire, and alternate. The flowers are small, pale green-yellow. Male and bisexual flowers coexist in a short terminal panicle. There are no petals, and there are 4-5 sepals and 8 stamens.
