Negidal'tsy (English spelling)

Japanese: ネギダール族 - ネギダールぞく（英語表記）Negidal’tsy

Indigenous people of the Lower Amur and Amgun River regions of the Russian Far East. The population was 590 (1989), of which nearly half today speak Russian as their first language. The Negidar language belongs to the Tungusic-Manchu language family and is particularly close to the Evenki language. Negidar is a self-proclaimed name meaning "people of the shore." As they also call themselves El'kan beienin, they are also called the Elkanbeiye people, but their ethnic origins can be traced back to the Evenki people. Culturally they have much in common with other fishing peoples of the region (Ulich, Orochi, and Nivkh).

ロシア連邦の極東地方，アムール川下流とアムグン川地域の先住民。人口は590(1989)，そのうち半数近くが今日ではロシア語を母語としている。ネギダール語はツングース･満州語派に属し，とくにエベンキ語と近い。ネギダールは自称で〈岸辺の人〉の意である。他に自称としてエリカン･ベイエニンEl’kan beieninがあるため，エルカンベイエ族とも呼ばれるが，民族の起源はエベンキ族に求められる。文化的にはこの地域の他の漁労民(ウリチ族，オロチ族，ニブヒ族)と多くの共通性をもつ。
