A French poet. He participated in the poetry magazine La Muse Française and published the poetry collections Bells Across the Plains and A Heart Yearning for Infinity. He gave private French lessons to Shimazaki Toson and Saijo Yaso in Paris. He came to Japan in 1926 (Taisho 15). He taught at the former Shizuoka High School, Waseda University, Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, and other institutions, and loved the scenery of Japan. He returned to Japan in 1962 (Showa 37). He became an honorary Tokyo resident. His works during his stay in Japan include the poetry collection The Scent of Ibota, the prose collections Night Patrol and Sleeping Butterfly, as well as the pen and ink collections Miyagi Kankei and Tokyo no Silhouette.
