Vietnamese novelist and politician. His real name was Nguyen Thuong Tam. He was born in Hai Duong Province in northern Vietnam and studied physics and chemistry in Paris. In 1932, he founded the weekly "Fu-ka" (Wind-up), and the "Self-Li-Li-Guan" (Self-Reform Association), an association of writers who advocated social reform. He wrote many romantic novels himself. His most famous work is "Den-Zetsu (Disconnection)". He later became involved in politics under his real name, and in 1939 he became Secretary-General of the Civil Vie Party. In 1942, he traveled to China as the representative of the Revolutionary Alliance. After the independence of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam in 1945, he returned to Vietnam with the support of the Chinese Kuomintang, and as a senior member of the anti-communist Revolutionary Alliance and the Vietnam Kuomintang, he opposed the Viet Minh forces.

ベトナムの小説家,政治家。本名グエン・トゥオン・タムNguyen Thuong Tam。ベトナム北部のハイズオン省に生まれ,パリに留学して理化学を修めた。1932年週刊《風化》を創刊し,社会改良を主張する作家の結社〈自力文団〉を創立,自ら数多くのロマン主義小説を書いた。代表作は《断絶》。のち本名で政治活動に入り,39年民政大越党書記長となり,42年革命同盟会代表として中国に渡った。45年のベトナム民主共和国独立後,中国国民党の援助で帰国,反共派の革命同盟会やベトナム国民党の幹部としてベトミンの勢力に対抗した。
